Here's your chance to experience Tejon Ranch the way the vaqueros and early explorers did – by horseback. Tejon Ranch's Equestrian Center offers a variety of Trail Rides for groups both large and small.
Starting in April 2007, we will begin hosting Saturday Trail Rides. Each Saturday ride will feature a different part of the Ranch. The Saturday Trail Rides are only $50 per person with your own horse. Rental horses are available, but must be arranged in advance. Please check our calendar for schedules, and call Katie Dockings at (661) 599-0741 for more information as to the types of rides and terrain for a given Saturday.
In addition to our Saturday Trail Rides, here are some of the other packages we offer:
Guided Single Day
Small Private Party Trail Rides
- 1-10 riders
- $50.00 Per person
Large Private Party Trail Rides
- 10 or more riders
- $40.00 per person
Public Group Rides
- Put on, or organized by a publicly recognized organization (i.e. Back Country Horseman)
- $25.00 per person (5 or more riders)
- $50.00 per person (less than 5 riders)
Unguided Single Day
Although the actual trail ride may be “unguided”, the leader of the trail ride party must first meet with a Tejon Ranch Equestrian Center guide to scout appropriate trails and obtain important information.
Small Private Party Trail Rides
- 1-10 riders
- $35.00 Per person
Large Private Party Trail Rides
- 10 or more riders
- $30.00 per person
Public Group Rides
- Put on, or organized by a publicly recognized organization (i.e. Back Country Horseman)
- $25.00 per person
Overnight Rides
Base camp: Horse facility
Prices same as above per day + stall rental fee
Base camp: On Ranch
Prices vary depending on location of base camp and what services are needed.
Horse Rental
For any trail ride where Tejon Ranch provides the horses, the cost will be added on to the normal Trail Ride fees.

- Must make prior arrangements with the Tejon Ranch Equestrian Center manager to insure the availability of appropriate number of rental horses.
